Katie Page is an Australian businesswoman born in Queensland, Australia, in 1956. She was the daughter of a bank manager and was one among his four daughters. In 1973, she acquired her graduation degree from Brisbane State High School. She aspired to pursue surveying, however; the low wages of women discouraged her. In 1988, she got married to Gerry Harvey, the co-founder of Harvey Norman, as his second wife. The couple as got two children together.
In 1983, Page became a part of Australia’s renowned retail company, Gerry Harvey, as an assistant. Harvey Norman is an Australian retailer chain of computers, electrical items, furniture, and beddings etc. in 1996, the company spread to New Zealand under Page’s stewardship. In 2000, it further extended to Singapore, and in 2003, it made to Malaysia and Slovenia. In 2001, Harvey Norman initiated online sales.She acquired the position of the company’s Chief Executive in 1999.
